ContiTech breaks ground on new hose plant in China

ContiTech has broken ground on a new €20-million plant for automotive hoses in the Shandong city of Qingdao, according to a company report. The site has an initial floorspace of approximately 15,000 square meters in the Sino-German eco park of Qingdao ‘west coast new area’.

The first phase will see ContiTech investing €20 million in the plant, the agreement for which was signed in July.

The plant has a projected annual output of about 15 million low pressure hoses in the initial phase.
