Monster truck event calls-in Pirtek hose experts

Fluid transfer solutions company, Pirtek, recently helped a monster truck event at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome keep on schedule for thousands of fans. A front-end loader had blown a hose while preparing the ground for a New Orleans Monster Jam competition, prompting a call to Pirtek for some fast, onsite maintenance.

Herc Rentals needed a Pirtek technician at the Superdome right away to work on an idled Caterpillar front-end loader. The equipment, which was working the ground into the muddy consistency necessary for the competition, required a hose and fittings to get moving again.

The technician made it to the venue in 30 minutes. The equipment was up and running in less than an hour.

“It was an interesting chain of events,” said Carl Prince, owner of Pirtek Elmwood in Harahan, Louisiana, USA. “I’m happy we could help them out.” Pirtek Elmwood, which opened in July 2016, is located in an industrial park about 10 minutes from the New Orleans city limits.
