NAHAD (The Association for Hose & Accessories Distribution in the US) and its members are more than 80 percent toward their goal of raising $10,000 for a charity whose mission it is to bring clean and safe water to people in developing nations.
The association for hose distributors and its manufacturing suppliers launched the social cause initiative at its annual convention in April and hope to reach the USD $10,000 goal by the end of the year for an organization called charity: water.
The charity: water non-profit, while based in New York, has undertaken projects in 24 countries worldwide in Africa, Asia, Central and South America.
Jim Reilly, a region manager for United Distribution Group’s GHX Industrial business, was the impetus behind getting NAHAD to sponsor a charitable program. He served as the association’s President for the year leading up to its convention last April in Colorado Springs, Colo.
