NORMA Group, a manufacturer of engineered joining technology, headquartered in Maintal, Germany, will be providing NORMAPLAST hose connectors and screw-in connectors for the prototype of a solar-powered sterilization device, for use in developing countries.
The LifeShift Sterilizer, developed by the German RSO Shift GmbH, cleans, disinfects and sterilizes surgical instruments. A system for treating water that produces high-purity distilled water from contaminated river or tap water has been integrated. The device is solar-powered, allowing it to operate autonomously, and specifically designed for use in rural areas of developing countries that lack medical care.
NORMAPLAST hose connectors and plastic screw-in connectors connect the pipes that conduct fluids without any leakage. The joining elements are known for their high strength and damping capacity, as well as their light weight. Ribs on the mounts and connectors ensure that all lines and hoses remain securely fastened. NORMAPLAST products are used in the chemical industry, in water management and in the food and beverage industry, among other fields.
