Poppe + Potthoff precise testing of plastic components

At the upcoming Automotive Testing Expos (ATE) in China and the USA, Germany’s Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau will be presenting new burst pressure test stands for up to 400 bar with precise pressure control in a tolerance of +/- 0.1 bar and test equipment capability over the entire pressure range. The company will be presenting a new fine pressure control method allows to test components such as hose lines or suction modules, AdBlue tanks and brake fluid containers very precisely.

To verify the quality of media-carrying components, the parts are pressurized until they burst. The process is precisely measured and documented in order to optimally design the components for specific applications – the burst pressure is determined in part by 100,000 measured values per second. At Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau, the pressure build-up is achieved with a technology that is faster, more precise and less maintenance than conventional systems.
